Kyle Jokovich was a Human who was enlisted as a cadet in Starfleet's War College during the late 32nd century. He was considered one of the most physically adept in the College.
In 3195, Jokovich was with his friends Dzolo and B'Avi when they encountered Jay-Den Kraag, who had been asked by Caleb Mir to distract them. He was interested in the Klingon joke Kraag told, but was hurried along by the others. Later, Jokovich alone was amused when proliferating Vitus reflux, introduced by Starfleet Academy cadets as a prank, forced the evacuation of the War College dormitories. (SA: "Vitus Reflux")
By midterms, Jokovich remained amicable with Kraag despite the ongoing campus "turf war" between Dzolo and Darem Reymi. When several cadets from both sides ran into each other at The Academy nightclub, Jokovich flirted and danced with Kraag before Reymi separated them. Reymi accused Kraag of "slumming it", prompting Jokovich's friends to defend him, which quickly escalated into a bar fight with the involvement of an intoxicated SAM. (SA: "Series Acclimation Mil")
Later that year, Jokovich partook in a training mission to the USS Miyazaki. He was assigned to the first shift of Blue Team, along with Mir, Kraag, SAM, and B'Avi, and tasked with boarding the derelict starship and restoring its life support and main computer. Soon after arrival, they were captured by a band of Furies under N'Duwo Skra. Team leader Lieutenant Commander Tomov sacrificed himself to give the cadets the chance to flee, but in the process Jokovich was severely bitten on the leg by a Furie. Nevertheless, he continued to defend the bridge from the Furies until the team was rescued by the USS Athena, though B'Avi was killed. In the aftermath, Jokovich placed B'Avi's beloved comic book Tales From the Frontier on his friend's body. (SA: "Come, Let's Away")
By early 3196, Jokovich and Kraag had begun dating. Jokovich wanted to spend the All-Worlds Day break with Kraag in Ibiza. However, Kraag missed the trip after he mistook Reymi's Khionian marital abduction for a real kidnapping and pursued him to Sunset Moon. Jokovich went to Ibiza alone and returned with a bad sunburn.
