Sunset Moon was the inhabited natural satellite of Khionia. Originally covered by ocean, the moon became a desert after its core stopped spinning.

The Khionians called Sunset Moon their "matrimonial moon" because it was used for sealing ceremonies. In 3196, the royal sealing of Darem Reymi and Kaira was held there. Ahead of the proceedings, Reymi was taken to Sunset Moon via an artificial single-point wormhole; he was followed through by Jay-Den Kraag, who mistook his Khionian marital abduction for a real kidnapping.
