A Khionian marital abduction was a Khionian marriage custom. It was initiated with a Khionian pebble being tossed near the bridegroom, who would then be ambushed and rendered unconscious for transport to the place of his sealing.
In 3196, two Khionian Royal Guards performed a marital abduction on Darem Reymi aboard the USS Athena, taking him via artificial single-point wormhole to Sunset Moon. Jay-Den Kraag, who witnessed the affair, mistook it for a real kidnapping and pursued him through the wormhole. Reymi's fiancée Kaira later apologized for the abduction and called it an "absurd tradition" that she planned to eliminate on day one of her reign as queen. (SA: "Ko'Zeine")
