Tezaar was an inhabited class M planet. It harbored native carbon-based animal and plant life, including the Tezaarians, a pre-warp civilization. (SNW: "Four-and-a-Half Vulcans")
Astronomical data
The planet was located at coordinates 3756.7212. It rotated once every 23.8 hours and revolved once every 390 days. Its mass was estimated to be 5.60612×1024 kilograms, and its age at 6.112 billion solar years. Its atmosphere was composed of 79% molecular nitrogen, 19% molecular oxygen, 0.9% methane, 0.6% carbon dioxide, and 0.4% argon, with trace amounts of water vapor and glycine. Its surface had a mean temperature of 15.8 degrees Celsius, with 61% water coverage. (SNW: "Four-and-a-Half Vulcans")
History
Hundreds of years before the 23rd century, the Vulcans made first contact with the Tezaarians, who were at risk of planetary collapse. The Vulcans provided them with the necessary technology to sustain themselves, including a nuclear power system that supplied energy to their entire world.
In 2261, the Tezaar Nuclear Power Facility malfunctioned, threatening to overload and cause a planetwide nuclear meltdown. Due to the Prime Directive, only Vulcans could be permitted to land on the surface, but none were in range to assist. The Vulcan High Command thus requested that the USS Enterprise carry out the repairs. Since Tezaarian scanners were advanced enough to penetrate any superficial disguises, the Human members of the away team were temporarily transformed into Vulcans by means of the Kerkhovian serum. They were then able to quickly correct the issue and return to the Enterprise without incident. (SNW: "Four-and-a-Half Vulcans")

Stellar cartography
In 3196, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Tezaar was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. (SA: "Rubincon")
