Genesis Lythe was the daughter of a Dar-Sha Starfleet admiral. She was enrolled as a cadet at Starfleet Academy. (SA: "Kids These Days")

Biography

Childhood

Genesis grew up on starships, playing games like "toxic or non-toxic". (SA: "Ko'Zeine") She was previously the Captain of Inter-Base Youth League for five years, top of her class, and Student Ambassador to Model Fed Council. (SA: "Vitus Reflux") Lythe had never been on a planet before entering Starfleet Academy on Earth. (SA: "Series Acclimation Mil")

When Genesis applied to Starfleet Academy, her references stated that she was motivated out of fear of not being good enough and didn't "trust she belongs where she is." In order to be admitted, she altered those reference documents. (SA: "Ko'Zeine")

Starfleet Academy

She became captain of Starfleet Academy's calica team after Darem Reymi stepped down. (SA: "Vitus Reflux")

Her performance under pressure during the Furies' attack on the USS Miyazaki led Chancellor Ake to nominate her for the pre-Command Track program. Realizing that her file would be sent to the program committee, and would likely uncover her tampering, Genesis tricked Caleb into helping her break into the Athena's bridge so she could erase the evidence of her tampering but was caught when Jett Reno entered the bridge. She confessed her actions to Ake, who chose not to submit her for the pre-Command Track, putting her on academic probation and sentencing her to two hundred hours of menial service along with Caleb. (SA: "Ko'Zeine")

She later helped Mir in finding his mother on Ukeck. After finding his mother, Lythe and the rest of the cadets manned the Athena after Captain Ake and Anisha Mir were taken by the Braka and Venari Ral pirates. (SA: "300th Night", "Rubincon")
