Anisha Mir was a female Human who lived in the late 32nd century and the mother of Caleb Mir.
In 3180, Anisha struck a deal with the Venari Ral pirate Nus Braka in order to gain access to food for herself and her son. Anisha stole the schematics to a Federation supply ship that Braka then attacked in order to gain access to said food and caused the death of a Starfleet officer, Lieutenant Akamu Lee, causing Anisha to be implicated as an accomplice and sentenced to a Federation rehabilitation facility by Captain Nahla Ake. During her time in the facility, she spent her time studying physics; the facility noted she has a remarkable mind. Anisha later escaped from this rehabilitation facility in 3194.
Her son, Caleb, attempted to track her down, learning of her escape in 3195 from Ake. Braka then indicated to Caleb that Anisha may be hiding on Goja V, which he initially couldn't find on any star charts, but later found in Betazoid star charts provided by Tarima Sadal. Starfleet Intelligence found an encrypted manifest that indicated that Anisha had managed to make it off of Goja V. (SA: "Kids These Days", "Beta Test", "Rubincon")
In 3196, thanks to a suggestion from SAM, Caleb tried the encryption key "Ishaani," the name of a moon that Anisha had told him would always be theirs. Caleb found almost two years of messages from his mother which revealed that she was on Ukeck, a planet that was about to be taken over by the Venari Ral. Caleb and his friends SAM, Darem Reymi and Genesis Lythe stole a shuttle and found Anisha. Anisha explained that 14 years into her sentence, Braka made contact and offered to get her out which, facing another ten years in prison without a way to contact her son, Anisha took. Anisha ditched Braka on Goja V, making him think that she was killed in the escape and then traded her skills in repairing things for transit on cargo ships. Caleb decided to leave Starfleet to go with his mother, knowing that it would kill her to find out that he'd joined the Federation.
Despite her distrust of the Federation, Anisha helped Caleb save his friends when they were caught by the Venari Ral. During a firefight, Anisha was shot before the group was rescued by the USS Athena. On board, Anisha's wounds were treated by the Doctor who predicted that she would make a full recovery. Anisha was reunited with Ake who had led the Athena to the rescue of the cadets and Anisha. Anisha reacted with obvious fear to the sight of Starfleet officers and Ake in particular. Anisha planned to flee with her son as soon as it was safe, but the Athena was soon attacked by Braka's forces. While Caleb and his friends hid in an airlock, Anisha volunteered to stay on the bridge as a cover story in order to protect her son. Anisha and Ake were captured by Braka while the Athena was apparently destroyed. However, Ake told Anisha that Caleb was fine as the crew had had a plan and that they had to work together against Braka. Braka went on to hold the Trial of the Federation in the Sato Atrium, declaring that Anisha would be the judge and jury. Anisha vented her hatred for Ake taking her son away from her, but Ake appealed to her guilt and remorse over the death of Lieutenant Lee which Anisha admitted that she might've been able to stop. Anisha declared Ake and the Federation guilty, but Caleb arrived in a shuttle before a sentence could be passed, revealing to his mother the home and life that he had found in Starfleet. The trial and Caleb's intervention bought his friends time to disarm Braka's mines and Admiral Charles Vance arrived with the Federation fleet to arrest Braka. Both Anisha and Ake took the chance to punch him in the face, knocking out one of Braka's teeth.
Anisha accompanied the Athena to Betazed and was allowed to go free despite her fugitive status. Anisha planned to spend the summer traveling with Caleb with their first stop being fulfilling their dream of visiting Earth together. While Caleb intended to return to Starfleet Academy for the next year, Anisha assured her son that he'd always have a home with her as well. (SA: "Rubincon")
