Hetemit was an inhabited planetary system in the Alpha Quadrant.
Components
This was a single star system consisting of a primary and at least nine planets, including Hetemit IX, which once hosted an Illyrian colony. (SNW: "Ghosts of Illyria")
Stellar cartography
In 2260, the location of Hetemit was labeled on a star chart denoting the spread of a quantum uncertainty field across the region. It was outside of the area effect of the phenomena. It was marked as an independent system. (SNW: "Subspace Rhapsody")
In 2261, the location of Hemetit was depicted on a star chart used by the crew of the USS Enterprise to highlight the location of Vadia. It was labeled as an independent system. (SNW: "Through the Lens of Time")
In 2324, it was marked as being in Federation space on a Section 31 star chart. The symbol for this location had a white color, which was an indicator that the system was non-aligned. (Star Trek: Section 31)
In 3195, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed in Starfleet Academy's Stellar Cartography laboratory. Systems affiliated with the Federation, including this one, had blue labels. (SA: "Beta Test")
In 3196, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Hetemit was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. This system was outside the affected region. (SA: "Rubincon")
