This was a binary system consisting of a G-type primary and a K-type companion.

Planetary system

This system had at least five planets, including the Class M world Dorvan V in the system's habitable zone.

History

In 2350, American Indians from Earth founded a Federation colony on Dorvan V.

Between 2368 and 2373, this system was in the Demilitarized Zone. In 2370, the system fell under the governance of the Cardassian Union.

Stellar cartography

In 3195, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed in Starfleet Academy's Stellar Cartography laboratory. (SA: "Beta Test")

In 3196, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Dorvan was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. This system was outside the affected region. (SA: "Rubincon")

This star system was only mentioned in writing.
Information on the system's stellar system came from the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). In the late 24th century, it was an independent system.
