Alpha 441 was a planetoid located in the Badlands.

History

In the late 2360s, the Maquis established a munitions base on Alpha 441.

Alpha 441 was the original target of the Cardassian missile Dreadnought, launched in 2370. The missile was able to reach the target but then failed to explode due to an obsolete kinetic detonator used in the warhead. Afterward B'Elanna Torres reprogrammed the missile to destroy the Cardassian fuel depot on Aschelan V. (VOY: "Dreadnought")

Stellar cartography

In 3195, this planetoid's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed in Starfleet Academy's Stellar Cartography laboratory. (SA: "Beta Test")

In 3196, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Alpha 441 was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. This planetoid was outside the affected region. These maps showed it in or near the Venari Ral Zone. (SA: "300th Night", "Rubincon")
