The Torros system was a planetary system in the Alpha Quadrant.

Components

Stellar system

This was a binary system consisting of an A-type primary and a B-type companion.

Planetary system

This system had at least three planets, including Torros III, which was home to a Dominion shipyard in 2373.

Stellar cartography

In 3196, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Torros was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. This system was outside the affected region. (SA: "300th Night", "Rubincon")

Information on the system's stellar system came from the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Stellar Cartography", pp. 18-19; "Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). In the latter source, it was stated on a map of the Cardassian Union – prepared by an anonymous astrography clerk, from the Cardassian Central Archives, in 2364 – that Torros was identified as a Cardassian system.
