Components

Stellar system

This was a trinary system. The primary Gemulon was a G-type star. Its companions were a K-type star and an M-type star.

Planetary system

This system contained at least five planets. In the system's habitable zone, there was the habitable world of Gemulon V.

History

In the 24th century, this system was considered as a candidate for colonization by the Federation. (DS9: "Paradise")

Stellar cartography

In 3196, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Gemulon was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. This system was outside the affected region. These maps showed this system inside the Venari Ral Zone. (SA: "300th Night")

This star system was only mentioned in writing.
The primary's name came from StarTrek.com, which placed this star in a Federation sector adjacent to the Bajor sector. [1](X)
Information on the system's stars came from the Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 46) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). These sources further say that, in the late 24th century, that this system was independent.
