The Carraya system was a remote planetary system in the Carraya sector, Beta Quadrant.

Stellar system

It was a single star system consisting of the F-type primary Carraya.

Planetary system

This system contained at least four planets. In this system's habitable zone, there was the planet Carraya IV. This planet was the location of a secret Romulan prison camp for the survivors of the Khitomer Massacre.

History

In 2256, this star system's location was labeled on the star chart "Alpha/Beta Quadrant Overview" in the ready room aboard the USS Discovery. (DIS: "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad")

In 2257, during the first Federation-Klingon War, this system was occupied by the Klingons. (DIS: "The War Without, The War Within")

In the mid-24th century, this system was located on the edge of Romulan space.

In 2369, the YLT-3069, piloted by the Yridian Jaglom Shrek, would visit this system. The flight plan of the Yridian shuttle would be later displayed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise-D, showing the location of Carraya system close to Romulan space. The Enterprise later rendezvoused with a Romulan supply ship near the Carraya system to receive some Klingons who chose to leave the Romulan prison camp. In order to cover the existence of those who stayed behind, Worf claimed that they were survivors of a ship that crash landed on Carraya IV in 2365. When the Venari Ral laid Omega-47 mines around the core of Federation space in 3196, this system was within the enclosed region. (SA: "Rubincon")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the location of this system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This system's symbol had a blue color, indicating that it was affiliated with the United Federation of Planets. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Spock Amok")

In 2324, the location of this system was labeled on a star chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

The system's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401. The Carraya system was in or near to neutral space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends", "The Next Generation", "Disengage")

In 3196, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed on the main viewscreen of the USS Athena bridge. (SA: "Ko'Zeine")

Later that year, during the Omega-47 crisis, the location of Carraya was depicted on star charts and readouts used across several locations on the USS Athena to locate, monitor, and respond to the Omega-47 mines laid by the Venari Ral. (SA: "Rubincon")
