Scrap held by Caleb

Scrap held by Caleb

Scrap was young Caleb Mir's toy teddy bear in the 32nd century. He appeared dressed in a mechanical suit, and was capable of interactive speech and simple emotional reaction gestures. (SA: "Kids These Days", "300th Night")

In 3180, while Caleb's mother, Anisha Mir, was awaiting sentencing at the Pikaru outpost, Caleb was holding onto Scrap. Though Anisha attempted to soften Nus Braka's crimes to Caleb, Scrap summarized for her: "he's a pirate." Caleb dropped Scrap during the sentencing and separation of Caleb from his mother. After Nahla Ake attempted to console Caleb, Caleb said he'd left his bear behind. When Ake went to retrieve Scrap, Scrap asked to be taken to Caleb, and tipped Ake off that the bear was a planned distraction so Caleb could escape. (SA: "Kids These Days")

In 3195, during a moment of telepathic intimacy with Tarima Sadal, an image of Scrap appeared in Caleb's mind amid a field of Betazoid wildflowers, causing Sadal to reach for it curiously. Scrap symbolized memories and emotions of pain that Mir had been repressing and withholding, causing Mir to become frustrated with Sadal. (SA: "Come, Let's Away", "Ko'Zeine")

Scrap was voiced by Atlas Blu Klamer in "Kids These Days".
