Pikaru, also referred to as Pikaru Settlement, was a Federation outpost operated by Starfleet during the 32nd century. It was located on the surface of a planet that experienced level-3 sandstorms.

In 3180, Nus Braka, Anisha Mir, and Caleb Mir were brought to Pikaru after they were apprehended for the theft of food rations from a Federation supply vessel and the murder of its pilot. As the ranking officer on site, Captain Nahla Ake pronounced their sentence, though Caleb managed to escape shortly after by stealing Ake's tricom badge. (SA: "Kids These Days")

In 3196, Pikaru Settlement was depicted on a star chart on an Operations console on the USS Athena. It was depicted immediately next to the Torothan Homeworld, and was color-coded to imply that it was associated with Toroth. (SA: "300th Night", "Rubincon")
