Kornephoros, also known as Beta Herculis or 27 Herculis, was a star system in the Alpha Quadrant.

Stellar system

This was a binary system. The primary Kornephoros (the proper name for Beta Herculis A) was a G-type red giant. Its companion Beta Herculis B was a dwarf star.

Stellar cartography

The Kornephoros system was visible from Earth in the constellation Hercules. It was approximately 139 light years from Sol.

In 3195, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed on the bridge of the USS Athena. Systems affiliated with the Federation, including this one, had blue labels. (SA: "Come, Let's Away")

In 3196, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart that displayed the placement of Omega-47 mines by the Venari Ral around the center of the Federation in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. This system was located outside this region. (SA: "300th Night")
