Kazar was an inhabited quaternary planetary system in the Alpha Quadrant.

This system was home to the Kazarites, who were a warp-capable species, who were in the process of or had been inducted into the United Federation of Planets in the 2250s.

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the location of this system was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. The system's symbol had the blue color, indicating that it was affiliated with the Federation. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Children of the Comet")

In 2261, the location of Kazar was depicted on a star chart used by the crew of the USS Enterprise to highlight the location of Vadia. It was labeled as a Federation system. (SNW: "Through the Lens of Time")

In the early 24th century, the location of this system was labeled in a chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

In 3195, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed in Starfleet Academy's Stellar Cartography laboratory. Systems affiliated with the Federation, including this one, had blue labels. (SA: "Beta Test")
