Fametek LLC is an American company based in Commerce, California that produces computer and smartphone-compatible audio accessories and other electronics.

The company was founded in December 2015 as a "pop culture" division of Massive Audio Inc..

Star Trek releases

In 2016, the company began to produce licensed Star Trek electronics and Bluetooth audio accessories. Some of these products are retailed by ThinkGeek and StarTrek.com, among other vendors.

Combadges

Both Bluetooth combadges feature a microphone and speaker to facilitate communication through a paired smartphone and adhere to the wearer via a magnetic back plate. A replacement magnetic backing was released for the TNG combadge with stronger magnets following customer complaints of the first release's failure to adhere to thicker clothing. The chirping communicator features only electronic sounds, without Bluetooth or microphone functionality, and is instead attached with clutch pins.
