Donald Hotton (29 March 193314 April 1999; age 66) played the Bajoran monk in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine first season episode "Emissary".

Hotton also guest-starred in The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Airwolf, Alien Nation (1989, starring Gary Graham, Eric Pierpoint and Michele Scarabelli, with Joel Polis), Quantum Leap (1990, starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell), and Cheers (1991, starring Kirstie Alley and Kelsey Grammer, with Bebe Neuwirth and Paul Willson).

He also made a memorable appearance as General Tide in Dances With Wolves (1990, with Michael Horton and Charles Rocket). Hotton also appeared in The China Syndrome (1979, with Richard Herd), Brainstorm (1983, with Louise Fletcher), Invaders from Mars (1986), Rampage (1987), Hot to Trot (1988), Late for Dinner (1991), and The Bodyguard (1992).
