William Frankfather (4 August 194428 December 1998; age 54) was an actor born in Kermit, Texas. He played the Male Changeling in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine third season episodes "The Search, Part I" and "The Search, Part II" though he only received credit for the second part.

In an interesting trivia note, Frankfather starred in Death Becomes Her and an episode of Wings called "Death Becomes Him". Frankfather also appeared in Foul Play (1978, with Eugene Roche, Marc Lawrence and John Hancock), Pennies from Heaven (1981, with Nancy Parsons, Jim Boeke and Arell Blanton), Flashpoint (1984, with Kevin Conway, Kurtwood Smith and Miguel Ferrer), Harry and the Hendersons (1987), The Rocketeer (1991, starring Billy Campbell, with Terry O'Quinn, Paul Sorvino, Jon Polito, Ed Lauter, Tiny Ron, Max Grodénchik, Don Pugsley, Arlee Reed, Clint Howard and William Boyett), Born Yesterday (1993, executive produced by Stratton Leopold, with Matthew Faison, Fritz Sperberg, Freda Foh Shen, Michael Ensign, Mary Kay Adams and Celeste Yarnall), When a Man Loves a Woman (1994, with Eugene Roche, Lauren Tom, Gail Strickland, Susanna Thompson, Angelina Fiordellisi, Ellen Geer, and Rico E.
