Prisoners

Thousands of Vezda had been imprisoned by a highly-advanced civilization within a multi-layered dimensional prison on the planet Vadia IX, which housed the orbs containing the extra-dimensional lifeforms within a well-like shaft. After the installation was discovered in 2261, the layer of existence where the hole was located was visited by Spock and Roger Korby. While the two were observing the well, Spock watched one of the orbs rise from the opening until it was suspended in front of him. As he observed the object, Spock watched as the Vezda inside lunged at the exterior of its prison.
