The Shangdi system was a star system, located somewhere in the Alpha Quadrant or Beta Quadrant. The closest system to it was the Parnassus system.

Components

This system had a single primary, a red supergiant star named Shangdi. This star was prone to coronal mass ejections.

History

In 2259, the USS Stardiver was conducting solar research in the Shangdi system. Just after observing a series of coronal mass ejections from Shangdi, the ship was attacked by the Gorn. Only one crew member, Lieutenant jg Montgomery Scott, managed to escape to Parnassus Beta in the neighboring star system. (SNW: "Hegemony")
