Septra was a Federation border colony in the Beta Quadrant.

History

During the Federation-Klingon War of 2256, on or around stardate 4851.5, the Klingons launched an attack at the research outpost located in this colony. The children who were spared found themselves as orphans. (DIS: "The War Without, The War Within")

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the location of this colony was labeled on a stellar cartography chart that was seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. This colony's symbol had a blue color, indicating that it was affiliated with the United Federation of Planets. (SNW: "Strange New Worlds", "Children of the Comet", "Spock Amok")

Later that year, the location of Septra was displayed on a star chart on a PADD, used to plot a potential course through the Chantico Nebula. (SNW: "Under the Cloak of War")

The colony's location was labeled in a Federation star chart that was in Fleet Admiral Kirsten Clancy's office at Starfleet Headquarters in 2399 and on the bridge of the USS Titan-A in 2401. Septra was in or near to neutral space. (PIC: "Maps and Legends", "The Next Generation", "Disengage")
