Seduction was the act of attempting to lure another into an activity, particularly sex.

In 2367, the individual stylizing herself as Ardra attempted a number of tactics to seduce Jean-Luc Picard, captain of the USS Enterprise-D, which she was attempting to stake a claim to, along with the planet of Ventax II. Picard, however, was not wooed by the attempts, declaring that he found her obvious and vulgar, and was not swayed either when she used holographic tricks to take on the appearance of Counselor Deanna Troi. (TNG: "Devil's Due")

In 2373, Q attempted to seduce Captain Kathryn Janeway by changing her bed into one of red satin with heart-shaped pillows and transforming her clothing into a silk dress. Janeway rejected the attempt as "puerile," calling him self-deluded. (VOY: "The Q and the Grey")

In 2374, Seven of Nine said, "All of these elaborate rituals of deception... I didn't realize becoming Human again would be such a challenge. Sexuality is particularly complex. As Borg, we had no need for seduction, no time for single-cell fertilization. We saw a species we wanted, and we assimilated it. Nevertheless, I am willing to explore my Humanity." (VOY: "Revulsion")
