"I'm a role model

"I'm a role model."

"I'm a.. (nervous chuckle) I'm a role model."
"I'm sure you are. Starfleet out."
Jean-Luc Picard and Admiral Blackwell, 2370 ("The Pegasus")

A role model was a person other people looked up to and attempted to pattern their lives after.

In 2370, when asked by Admiral Margaret Blackwell about the Captain Picard Day decorations visible in a communication with her, Picard nervously explained that as the captain of the USS Enterprise-D, he was a role model for the children aboard. Blackwell glared before replying, "I'm sure you are." (TNG: "The Pegasus")

Seven of Nine considered her mentor Captain Kathryn Janeway to be a role model in her endeavour to further explore her lost humanity; when she was taken captive and brought before Rudolph Ransom onboard the USS Equinox, Seven coldly declared that the man would be an inferior source of inspiration compared to Janeway. (VOY: "Equinox, Part II")
