Perfect World is the former owners of Arc Games (known as Perfect World Entertainment under Perfect World's ownership) which owns Cryptic Studios, the developers of Star Trek Online.

They acquired Cryptic Studios under their Perfect World Entertainment subsidiary from Atari in 2011, and sold Perfect World Entertainment to Embracer Group in 2021, where it was eventually renamed to Arc Games and divested from Embracer Group.
