Paul Guilfoyle (born 28 April 1949; age 77) is an actor who played Carl in the Star Trek: Discovery third season episodes "Terra Firma, Part 1" and "Terra Firma, Part 2".

He is best known for playing Captain Jim Brass in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation between 2000 and 2014. His co-stars on the show included Wallace Langham and Liz Vassey.

Guilfoyle's early credits include a role in Three Men and a Baby (1986, directed by Leonard Nimoy), and guest roles on Spenser: For Hire and its spin-off A Man Called Hawk, starring Avery Brooks.
