LEGO A/S, also known as The LEGO Group, is a privately held toy company based in Billund, Denmark famous for its LEGO brand of toy construction bricks. Among their products are sets of brick pieces and themed build kits based on licensed properties.

In 2025, it was rumored that a USS Enterprise-D set was to be released, with a tentative date of November that same year.

A teaser trailer was released on Star Trek Day (8 September 2025), in which a LEGO minifigure of Jean-Luc Picard beams onto a TNG-era transporter platform. [1]

On 6 November 2025, the first sets including the Enterprise-D and a Type 15 shuttlepod were officially announced for release on 28 November 2025. [2] [3] In the advertisement, Jonathan Frakes recited the Space, the final frontier... speech, the first time he has done so. [4] [5]

The USS Enterprise-D set contains 3,600 pieces and measures 60 cm / 23.5 inches long when assembled. The finished model is capable of saucer separation and features an "opening" shuttlebay (achieved by the user removing the covering pieces) for two included mini shuttlepods. Included are nine LEGO minifigures: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Lieutenant Commander Data, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Counselor Deanna Troi, Bartender Guinan and Wesley Crusher. Also included are an angled display stand, information plaque, a minifigure display tile and a brick separator (630). The set is designed for adults and recommended for ages 18+. It was principally designed by Hans Burkhard Schlömer.

Easter eggs in the build include stacks of white, red, and green pegs in the stardrive section and warp nacelles, representing fuel from the fictitious LEGO gasoline super corporation Octan. A dedication plaque sticker is hidden in the center of the saucer, notably with a typo in the motto reading "…to boldy go where no one has gone before." [6] Replacement stickers were quickly issued with correct spelling, though also with an altered design. [7] A third version corrected the spelling while using the original design. [8]

A Type 15 shuttlepod kit (40768) was included with purchases of the Enterprise-D set made between 28 November and 1 December 2025.
