Joseph Michael Patrick "Joe" Farago (28 January 1948–23 March 2025; age 77) was a stuntman and actor who performed stunts in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country as an Excelsior crewman.
Farago made several television commercials and hosted several shows such as Break the Bank (1985-1986) and Bissel's Big Green Clean Machine (1994-1996).
Among his resume are films such as Silent Rage (1982), The Terminator (1984, starring Linda Hamilton, with Paul Winfield, Earl Boen, Dick Miller, Brian Thompson, and stunts by Tony Cecere and Frank Orsatti), The Abyss (1989, Ken Jenkins and stunts by Denney Pierce and Steve Kelso), Absolute Strangers (1991, with Richard Kiley, Jennifer Hetrick, Tony Jay, Alan Oppenheimer, Richard Fancy, William Glover, Ray Reinhardt, Deborah Strang, and René Auberjonois), and Chance of a Lifetime (1991, with Ed Begley, Jr., William Windom, Lloyd Kino, and stunt coordinated by Dennis Madalone).
Farago also appeared in television series such as T. J. Hooker (1985, starring William Shatner and James Darren, with Robert Hooks), Quantum Leap (1989, starring Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell, with stunt coordination by Diamond Farnsworth), L.A. Law (1991, starring Corbin Bernsen and Larry Drake, with Robert Pine and Diane Salinger), Seinfeld (1991, with Jason Alexander and Tucker Smallwood), Coach (1990 and 1994), and From the Earth to the Moon (1998, with Sam Anderson, David Clennon, Ronny Cox, Robert Curtis Brown, J. Downing, David Drew Gallagher, Jerry Hardin, John Hostetter, Clint Howard, Daniel Hugh Kelly, Deborah May, Ethan Phillips, Harve Presnell, Mark Rolston, and Alan Ruck).
