Jake Page (24 January 1936–10 February 2016; age 80), born James Keena Page Jr., was a writer, editor, and columnist who co-authored Michael Westmore's biography Makeup Man: From Rocky to Star Trek.
After working at various publishers, he became science content editor and columnist for Smithsonian. In 2000, he wrote an article for Smithsonian about the career of Michael Westmore which began a friendship that resulted in collaboration on Westmore's biography which was ultimately published after Page’s death.
He was also the author of more than forty other books of fiction and nonfiction on topics as varied as dinosaurs, arctic exploration, natural history, and Native American history and culture.
He died in 2016 from vascular disease. [1]
