Hurkos III was the inhabited third planet in its star system. Located in the Cygnus Sector, the planet was home to the University of Hurkos. The planet was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

In the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Plaents I"), Hurkos III was listed as a Federation member in 2378.
