I'm curious about the possibility of introducing userboxes to Memory Alpha. Userboxes are special templates that allow self-expression on profile pages. For example, you can list favorite characters, show opinions, and facts about yourself. It looks like there were userboxes here in 2009, but they were discontinued for an unspecified reason.
I created a userbox template for the Autism Living Wiki that includes easy customization and detailed template data. I could introduce this at Memory Alpha and users could have fun with it. Does this sound like a good idea to other people? ~ MissLunaRose (talk) 04:14, 13 September 2025 (UTC)
- I think this is a good idea. In fact, I was thinking about setting up a generic userbox template several months ago when I was renovating our {{babel}} template, but I never got around to it. I can't give a definite timeline on when I'll be able to create the template, but hopefully I'll be able to work on it this weekend. - I can put in my custom template right now. It's got some special features I developed over the months. It's at Template:Userbox! - I put in the default userbox template I developed and created a demo userbox, Template:User loves a character, complete with a color scheme derived from Memory Alpha CSS and the header logo. I saw you wrote "this needs some work" and I don't know what that means exactly. A appreciate your offer to help, but I think it would be easier for me to finish the work myself, then any further modifications can be made from there.
