Memory Beta has a "Pages for administration" format which seems to be used when a page could either be deleted or merged [1], but the person who raises the issue is unsure which of the two is the correct option. Did MA ever do that, too? -LauraCC (talk) 03:07, 17 May 2026 (UTC)

Before we had merge discussions on MA, people would just nominate a page for deletion and in their post suggest merging it, which is kinda similar to what you're talking about.

IMO a "pages for administration" is unnecessary. If you're not sure if it should be a merge or delete, just put it up for deletion, then if there's consensus to delete, it gets deleted, but if there's consensus to merge, it gets merged.
