Sorry if this is reopening old wounds, but why exactly do we treat webseries as equal to the actual shows? For one thing, Very Short Treks is explicitly non-canon. This is supposed to the site for canon Star Trek. This isn't Memory Beta. Fables and Folklore and Scouts are more ambiguous in terms of canon, but they're clearly supposed to be actual shows. Someone who visits the TV and Film Portal will be left with the impression that FF, VST, and SCO are on the same level as Short Treks, which is absurd. Wikipedia doesn't list them with the rest of the shows. Why do we? NutritiousMelon (talk) 13:49, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- Memory Alpha:Content policy and Memory Alpha:Resource policy explain what sources we cite, where, and why. LauraCC (talk) 15:21, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
- Looks like there are still some active discussions on it at Memory Alpha talk:Content policy. It's not a done deal. Feel free to lend your voice, NutritiousMelon. —Atosen (talk) 06:29, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
