In 2260, Deep Space 2 was labeled on a star chart denoting the spread of a quantum uncertainty field across the region. (SNW: "Subspace Rhapsody")

Later that year, the location of this station was shown on a star chart depicting the expansion of the Gorn Hegemony. It was near the demarcation lines between Gorn space and Federation space. (SNW: "Hegemony, Part II")
