Colin Anderson is a camera operator for Hollywood films. He operated the "A" camera on Star Trek under the supervision of Dan Mindel.

According to the Internet Movie Database, Anderson was also a steadicam operator on the film. This has not yet been confirmed.

Anderson previously collaborated with Mindel on the films Stuck on You, The Skeleton Key, and Mission: Impossible III. The latter film, like Star Trek, was directed by J.J. Abrams, written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. Many other filmmakers who worked on M:i:III also contributed toStar Trek.

Early in his career, Anderson was a first assistant cameraman on Stargate (1994, featuring Erick Avari), Tank Girl (1995, starring Lori Petty and Malcolm McDowell, with Ann Cusack, Reg E. Cathey, Iggy Pop, Ann Magnuson, Doug Jones, James Hong, Jeff Kober and Charles Lucia), and Species (1995, featuring Richard Fancy, Jordan Lund, and Herta Ware). He subsequently operated cameras or stedicams (or both) for the productions of such films as Rush Hour (1998, featuring Tzi Ma and Mark Rolston), The Haunting (1999, featuring Virginia Madsen), Daredevil (2003, starring Michael Clarke Duncan, with Erick Avari and Leland Orser), The Rundown (2003, starring The Rock and William Lucking), and Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003, featuring Marc Lawrence, Dick Miller, George Murdock, Ron Perlman and Robert Picardo).

In addition to his work with Dan Mindel, Anderson served as camera and stedicam operator for cinematographer and Star Trek: The Motion Picture visual effect photographer Robert Elswit on Good Night, and Good Luck (2005, featuring J.D. Cullum, Frank Langella, Glenn Morshower, and Ray Wise), Syriana (2005, starring Matt Damon, with Robert Foxworth, Christopher Plummer, and Alexander Siddig), and There Will Be Blood (2007, featuring Paul F. Tompkins). Anderson also worked on Dreamgirls (2006, starring Beyoncé and Eddie Murphy, featuring Ivar Brogger, Robert Curtis Brown, Dawnn Lewis, and Daniel Riordan) and Iron Man (2008, featuring Tom Morello, Bill Smitrovich and Faran Tahir).
