C-111 system — memory alpha

C-111 system was an inhabited planetary system located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

Components

This system had at least three planets. In the habitable zone of this system, there was the inhabited world Beta III, the homeworld of the Betans, a pre-warp humanoid species. (TOS: "The Return of the Archons", ENT: "In A Mirror, Darkly, Part II")

History

Historical archive mentioning the C-111 system

In the 2160s, the Archon was assigned to explore this system. In the course of the mission, the ship was destroyed by the Landru entity on the third planet. In 2267, the crew of the USS Enterprise investigated the disappearance of the Archon by visiting this system. (TOS: "The Return of the Archons")

In 2370, system C-111 was listed on the Deep Space 9 arrival roster as the point of departure for the USS G'Mat. (DS9: "Whispers", okudagram)

In the second edition of the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("History of the United Federation of Planets"), this system, labeled as FGC-611, was located in the Alpha Quadrant. This was a binary system with a pair of G-type stars. 611 was a nod to FASA's RPG source book The Federation, where the system was identified as the 6-11 system.
