This was a quaternary system. This was organized into two single star systems and a binary system.
At the center of one of the single star systems, there was the primary 38 Lyncis A, which was an A-type dwarf.
38 Lyncis Ba and 38 Lyncis Bb, the stars of the binary system, were a pair of A-type stars.
In the other single star system, there was the red dwarf 38 Lyncis E.
Stellar cartography
The 38 Lyncis system was visible from Earth in the constellation Lynx. it was approximately 125 light years from Sol.
In 3195, this system's position was labeled on a Federation star chart which was displayed on the bridge of the USS Athena. (SA: "Come, Let's Away")
